About the teacher
Sarah Johnson is a high school English and Drama teacher at an independent school in Vancouver, Canada. She holds a B.A in English Literature from Thompson Rivers University, and a B.Ed from the University of British Columbia. As of September 2017, Sarah will also be working to complete her Masters in Language and Literacy from UBC. Sarah has worked as an English reading and writing tutor for over 5 years in both one-to-one sessions, and group sessions. She is passionate about inspiring a love of reading and a deep analysis of text, and firmly believes that written communication is the strongest way for students to express themselves. Her lessons blend reading, literacy-based games, and writing skills to develop strong critical analysis and grammatical accuracy. Sarah is excited to start working with students, and hopes they will find the lessons both academically stimulating and enjoyable!
